Step back into a time when visiting the “real” Santa at Miller & Rhoads was definitely on every Richmonder’s holiday “must do” list.

Enjoy a wonderful Tea Party in our Tea Room steeped in nostalgia featuring a visit with one of the original “Santas” and “Snow Queen” from the grand ole downtown Richmond department store. Enjoy a slice of reindeer cake and visit with the Elf, and the Snow Bear too! Each child receives a special gift from Santa as well.

Christmas Decorating Workshops

Christmas Angel Workshop   Thursday, November 17  6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Join us for a night of fun as we create unique and vintage-style Victorian angel ornaments using antique ephemera (old paper graphics), batting, glitter and more! Registration fee includes class, all materials, and a light supper including sandwich, soup, beverage and dessert. Instructor: Tony Turner

Glitter Wreath Workshop   Tuesday, November 29   6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Gather your girlfriends and join Feathernesters artist-in-residence Mona Burke as you craft a unique glitter wreath using shapes cut from cookie cutters. You’ll be amazed at how beautiful and charming your finished wreath will be! Registration fee includes class, all materials, and a light supper including sandwich, soup, beverage and dessert. A Designer Christmas   Thursday, December 1   6:30 PM- 9:00 PM

Have you ever wondered how an interior designer and home stylist decorate their own homes  for the holidays? This interesting class will give you a rare glimpse into how they bedeck their homes for Christmas from welcoming guests at the front door and spread cheer all through the house! Watch as they create holiday vignettes, clever ideas, tricks of the trade, and step-by-step designer decorating ideas! Registration fee includes class and a light supper including sandwich, soup, beverage and dessert.
